Toy Photography

Vailancio Rodrigues images

This image is definitely a very intriguing representation of toy photography because it has an interesting composition created by the planes and setting. Obviously, these places are positioned in a way that show us the common setting of an airport. All of the airplanes are pointing in the same direction (towards the roads). The way these airplanes point create a diagonal line that leads viewers to the bottom left of the image. A perpendicular line is create by the street lines in the bottom left as well. I think that the photographer chose to keep the image I color rather than putting it in black and white because of the complimentary colors of yellow ad blue that we can faintly see in the building and wings of some planes. Some parts of the image are very in focus while others are quite blurry. This adds a very interesting affect to the overall image. The technique used to accomplish this was most likely a manual focus function on the camera. This function allowed the photographer to focus on a very specific section of the image. This image is a very successful representation of toy photographer because we are able to understand a story and analyze the image as a miniature scale model.
