For my project (attached) I wanted to focus on college students. College students are some of the most individualistic people in the world. Their self-expression is unique and every student has a different way of dressing themselves. There are many factors that contribute to daily outfits such as weather and their plans for the day. Even though their clothes are tied to their daily routine, everyone personalizes their style. It could be wearing sweatpants or jeans, adding a hat, or choosing boots over sneakers. They walk the line of fashion and comfort in a way most people cannot. With the new rise in “sweat style,” college outfits are not only comfortable but trendy. I tried to capture how students personalize their outfits and what items they use to do it, such as accessories, jackets, and shoes. I also added a section about masks… the new accessory no one can leave home without. Masks are no longer practical but required during this pandemic. Every store in the world has added masks to their inventory which gives a multitude of options to chose from. I have noticed people now match their masks to their outfits. This is the perfect example of how the fashion world easily changes and adapts to what is happening globally. My book is a culmination of ideas of how students represent themselves simply from their outfits. I hope you like my book!
