I think this composition is extremely strong. The vivid red from the Golden Gate Bridge really stands out against the neutrality in the clouds above. Without this technique, I don’t think the shadows in the clouds would be expressed as greatly. There also is a really nice highlight on the green hill to the right of the bridge, which I think was due to the HDR. Similarly, I think the road is highlighted because of the technique.
