Bike Accident: 2005
There are serval powerful elements in this photo, one of which is the cherry blossoms. These flowers are a personal favorite of mine, which is one of the reasons I chose this photo. I think this picture demonstrates the photographer’s technique because she was able to capture the details of the flower. The individual blooms are visible and the pink of the flower contrasts the green of the leave. The light sky in the background illuminates all the elements in the photo and I think that the contrast between the blue and the red is what allows the details in the flowers to clearly come through. The strong reds in the photo are eye-catching and I don’t think I have ever seen a photo with so many red elements. This photo has a vintage feel to it. It is a retro 1950s arcade dream. The neon in the sign is not a usual statement of a movie theater, thus its presence only emphasizes the generation it’s from. This photo is a symphony of retro reds and bold neons that you back to the movies in the 50’s.
