I went into Bethlehem and tried to take ‘busy’ photos. I like when there is a lot going on, unfortunately I took these right before a rain storm so there weren’t too many people out. So while I did capture a few of these larger scenes, with people included, I also was looking for the different buildings their angles, and colors etc. I felt slightly uncomfortable with the project, just because taking photos of random people on the street makes me a little anxious because obviously not everyone wants their picture taken.

These are great photos. I think that you did a nice job of capturing the detail of each building and subject that you photographed. By placing some of your photos in black and white, it forced the viewer to better appreciate the attention to detail and shadowing in the images. You really captured the spirit/reality of Bethlehem in the photos and having such different tones in all 5 of your images keeps the viewer engaged in each photo.
Evie,
I think this set of photographs is very successful. Each one has a very distinct and unique focal point that formed well by your choices of color and composition. I especially like the 2nd on that includes the side face of a building that has a pink hue. I think the blue in the sky combines well with the blue building to bring a very aesthetically pleasing image.
