Annie 
Dean
The photograph titled Annie is an example of a portrait with short depth of field. Her face and body are very in focus because of their closeness in proximity to the camera. The leafy background is very blurred out which gives a base that frames her visage well. Her faint smile and wavy brown hair adds good character to this portrait in particular.
The photograph titled Dean shows an image taken inside a building with natural light coming in from the window. This example shows the technique of long depth of field because the front and background of the image are mostly in focus. There is a longer range of depth within this photo compared to the one titled Annie. This image was made symmetrical to accentuate the depth given by his legs in the image.
