I really enjoyed this project because it gave me the flexibility to explore a topic that I was especially interested in. My whole life, I’ve loved spending most of my time outdoors! This project gave me the opportunity to capture images of the nature that the Lehigh Valley and the town of Ithaca, New York had to offer. I enjoyed take an abundance of images with all different focal points and compositions. I tried to include an array of subject matter within my topic of nature. Some images show the colorful version of nature while others show the intricate geometrical shapes (abstraction) that different forms of nature can create. This book gives an up close and personal look into the world of nature that can often be overlooked on any regular day. Some images include nature as a setting where the humans in the images are the main subject of the photograph. I enjoyed editing the photos using photoshop and Lightroom just as much as I enjoyed taking the original images! I was able to alter the images to accentuate the key components that made them so unique. This was accomplished by playing around with color levels and contrast.

  1. Eva,

I am incredibly impressed with the images in which you compiled in this book! It is a clear expression of your love for the outdoors which you mentioned in your description! I really like how you chose to compose a combination of black and white images with colored, as well as short depth of field and long. The contrast and details are exceptional. I am glad you were able to learn such a great deal about yourself as a photographer, it is clear you had so much fun completing this project. Nice work!

  2. This book came out really nice! I love the natural theme you chose I feel like we picked a similar purpose; capturing lots of nature that tends to be overlooked and you did a really great job doing it! I agree with Annie the switch between color photos and black and white really added great variety to the book! Really well done!

  3. I like the how you added close up pictures with great detail focusing in on one object, but then had long depths of field also incorporated. In addition I like how you added pictures in color and then the same picture in a black in white edit this in addition with your different depths of field gave your book a lot of variations.

  4. Eva, I really loved your book. I think that the photos came out beautifully. I can tell that you really took your time editing the photos and making sure the details were seen and prominent. You really demonstrated a lot of different techniques and skills in your book that were all executed very well. Overall, really good job!

  5. I really loved your book. The details and the scene that you captured in your book are very beautiful, and your techniques you used on editing also made the photo details pop out even more. In general, it’s a fantastic work!
