This image caught my eye when searching through the “Ward 81” series. I saw this image to show a side of life in the ward that is not shared or discussed. This is that those in wards are often alone. While they may be under treatment, they still have feelings. It is expressed through this image that this individual is missing a loved one. This black and white contrast between the hair and the white boarder of the image also stood out to me. Overall this photo sends a deep message shown through the subject and strong composition.
