Piss Christ, “depicts the passion of Christ and is said to be made with the artist’s own urine.”
This work of art tells a strong story with the way this image was created. Although many viewers that resonated strongly with Christian values, thought this piece was extremely disrespectful, the artist had another motif for creating this work of art. The artist claims that his work “has something for everyone” meaning it can have a different emphasis for other people. This piece definitely evokes very polar emotions depending on the person. Those who respected and enjoyed the image realized that by creating it with the artists urine, he was trying to reflect the strong bond between Jesus Christ and bodily fluids. However, some saw this interpretation of Jesus as disrespectful. As for the image itself, it has a very vibrant hue of orange that makes the center focal point of the image standout. The composition also helps further emphasize the main foal point because it is placed right in the middle.
