I was really drawn to these two pieces. I love the ways in which these miniature sets are so realistic yet they have a quality that the viewer can automatically understand is fake or staged. They remind me of something from Fantastic Mr. Fox. The lighting used in each is purposeful, to look cloudy with sun or dusk before dinner but there is still the last bits of daylight. The home both contain such great detail and quirk. Details in wood panelling or simple decoration resemble what one would see on an actual home. Gardens, grass and other plants have the same life-like qualities.
