All of this photographers too the time to shoot a series of images that they seemed to have a strong passion for. Although none of the pictures in the series were the same, they all had key components and an overarching theme that made them relate enough to be made into a series. The project (AIR) I found the most interesting was the work done by Vincent Laforet. After much permission, he was given the opportunity to travel far above New York City shoot images of it during the night. He mentioned that his propose in doing so was so that he could take the ordinary and make it look unordinary. He was able to capture exquisite images of the geometry of the city streets from an abundance of angles. His images also allowed us to see the beautiful array of new colors emitted by the newest LED lights in the city. He has inspired me to take a similar lense when thinking about my project. I hope to do take a similar approach with my theme of Abstraction Within Nature. I would like to take this opportunity to capture abstract images of things we see on a daily basis but focus more on the geometry and colors that they possess.
