Voyiazis – Water/Motion Assignment

This is a photo of two 1/10 scale remote controlled cars. I tried to do a slow drift with one car around the other to make it look like a scene from Tokyo Drift. I think this long exposure came out alright because you can see the feathering shape of the yellow car as it moves around. I used colorizing for this image to highlight the stationary vehicle and moving vehicle’s path and also to dull the ground color in comparison.

I took this photo of a ball going through the net in the dark, with a bright red colored ball and floodlights shining onto it. This was the only way the camera would pick up the ball moving through the darkness, and its path was obscured when I tried shooting the photo in sunlight. I used channel mixing on this photo because it was the only technique that kept the photo clear instead of grainy, and it also highlighted the entirety of the ball’s path.

This photo was taken like the first, but the car’s motion is focused around the second quadrant of the photo. I used split tone to highlight the motion against the dark ground color.
