This image is titled, Recife (Olinda) 13 and shoot in Pernambuco, Brazil at 1986. This image is more of a documentary than an abstraction, Siskind used the black and white filter to emphasize the shape of the subject and the subject itself. The image captured a wooden square with a chain that connects something to it. It is not captured under perfectly vertical or perfectly horizontal way; the square is tilted but not too much. And you can also see a mark on the edge: IP. You can also see a strip in the wooden square, there seem to be some letters, but is not clear enough to see.

This is from his period of abstract photography and it is actually black and white film. A black and white filter would be used in digital photography. Good observation of the line direction, the chain and the letters.
